The Capacity Planner will have the overall responsibility for determining the production capacity and workforce needed to meet changing demands short and mid-term. You ensure staffing planning, optimal resource planning and overall management of workflow across the production network. You are an analytical data driven problem solver with demonstrated ability to manage quantitative planning, deal with multiple demands on time with quick reaction time. You have a willingness to work in a highly data-driven environment to support and deliver high levels of operational performance.
Your Tasks
Responsible for daily in-house and third-party capacity plan development, optimization and communication of the plan
Responsible for regulary in-house headcount plan development, optimization and communication of the plan
Work within the team to manage and maintain the production schedule, and timely metric management and reporting
Ensure compliance to service agreements and ensure optimal utilization of all resources
Adapt staffing plans to changes in production capacity and take corrective actions to ensure flawless operations
Preparation of plans for smooth productional capacity procedures and provide comprehensive support for the implementation in facilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for planning purposes
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement of workforce utilization
Maintain all capacity and headcount planning related masterdata
Monitor key processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints and provide analysis
Follow objectives/KPIs and take actions to meet the set goals
Ensure capacity plans support company targets, e.g. promised delivery lead times
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice planning strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance and customer satisfaction
Your Profile
Understanding of production capacities and workforce management programs
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or experience in capacity or workforce planning
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
Experience of delivering results through cross-functional working
Statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and manage information, data and trends
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders
Very good English skills, German is a plus
