Improvements to the touch and mobile platform experience shortlisted for ‘The Mobile Award’
Spreadshirt the ecommerce platform which makes it easy to buy, sell and create ideas on merchandising, has been shortlisted for the 2015 Internet Retailing Awards in The Mobile Award category. The Awards recognise multichannel and pure-play retailers. The finalists reflect the market buoyancy and the continued innovation within the dynamic multichannel retail sector.
The Mobile Award highlights those retailers whose mobile activities extend beyond an obligatory app and tablet-optimised site to creating an integrated, coherent and compelling experience under their brand.
2015 has continued being a year of innovation for Spreadshirt. The company has pushed forward its mobile optimisation strategy with the launch of its new shop system, Spreadshop. The latest move marks the next phase of continued investment and development of all services and is another notable milestone in the company’s efforts to optimise all points-of-sale for mobile usage for both buyers and sellers. This also follows the successful introduction of the mobile marketplace, mobile checkout (2014) and the touch-optimised t-shirt designer (2013).
Philip Rooke, CEO at Spreadshirt says “The Internet Retailing Awards represent the pinnacle of recognition in our industry so we are thrilled to be nominated in this highly competitive category. This award nomination recognises the increased importance of mobile for customers and driving business forward. We set out to make 2014 our year of the mobile experience. As a result, we saw conversions via mobile phones double in December and basket size go up five-fold, showing that consumers are not just using their mobiles to browse, but can be converted into enthusiastic buyers.”
The winner will be announced at the award ceremony on 24 September 2015 in London.
