Spreadshirt the leading multi-channel clothing commerce platform is today launching its first Application Interface (API) contest.

Apr 27, 2011 – Spreadshirt the leading multi-channel clothing commerce platform is today launching its first Application Interface (API) contest. IT enthusiasts have until 11:59 pm on 31 May 2011 to submit their creative and practical applications for bringing ideas, messages and other content from various channels onto customised clothing.

The top three entries selected by the Spreadshirt jury will be awarded a cash prize with the winner receiving 3,000 Euros. All participants will also be able to use their application in their own Spreadshirt shop, or can choose to sell it to other shop owners. The contest is open to everyone.  Those interested should refer to the newly-released REST API. The only condition is that the submitted application must enable a customer to place their product in the shopping basket. Contest participants can freely choose which application they submit – whether a programme for the integration of Spreadshirt into social media channels or mobile applications, or a plug-in for platforms such as WordPress or Photoshop, for example.

Submissions have the best chance of winning if they impress the jury as being innovative or can demonstrate an added benefit to as many Spreadshirt users as possible.

With the submissions from its API contest, Spreadshirt aims to gather ideas for the future, involve new partners in the development of its creative platform, and provide Spreadshirt customers with even more flexible possibilities for use. Spreadshirt would like to also openly offer the winning application cost-free to all shop partners and customers after the contest.
