Summer is approaching and with it two major sporting events: The Summer Olympics in London and the UEFA European Football Championship which will take place in Poland and in the Ukraine. Such big events often come along with numerous trademark registrations. Thus, the danger of possible copyright and trademark infringements is clearly given. In order to survive the summer without any legal warnings, we ask our partners to watch out for possible infringements and also to be careful while creating own designs.
Unfortunately we cannot print any official logos, mascots or word marks as well as designs from official sponsors such as Ferrero or McDonalds. We already added this info in the forum some time ago. Everyone who would like to look for registered trademarks at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and at the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OAMI) is invited to do so. Trademark proprietors are for example the Union of European Football Associations (search term: Union des Associations Européennes de Football) and the International Olympic Committee (search term: Comité international olympique).
