The first quarter of 2015 has already blown past us like a swift breath of fresh air, and we’ve wasted no time to yield the fruit of our statistics team to show you the 5 most sought for terms in January, February and March. Check them out and find new inspiration for your next creations.
In 5th – Quotes
A fun quote is what we like looking at on Facebook every day, and it surely won’t go to waste when printed on a T-shirt. So it’s hardly surprising that quotes have made it into the top 5 of the most popular search terms in our list at hand.
Design inspiration: life itself is the best story teller out there. It’s whenever you hear somebody say ”you should print that on a T-shirt“ that you know you’re on for a winner. So keep your ears peeled and – if it cuts the mustard – print it on a tee!
In 4th – Funny gym
Nothing like a good workout to recharge your batteries and make you burst with energy. It’s got to be fun, though. So, quite obviously, folks are looking for fun designs to don on their bulging torsos.
Design inspiration: have a funny take on what people do during a workout session, and turn a witty slogan or design into something that you would wear yourself in the gym. And then lose some weight through pain on heavy rotation.
In 3rd – Sports
Dreams don’t work out unless you do. The same is true for every sport, and people just love telling the world what kind of sport really stirs their blood.
Design inspiration: Just think of a friend of yours who’s madly into football or any other sport to scoop inspiration for new designs or nicely adorned slogans. Fringe sports could make for a nice niche in the market as well.
In 2nd – Geek
Many customers take a self-deprecating look at themselves and proudly wear T-shirts boasting nerdy IT wisdom, thick-walled glasses or quotes from their favourite TV series like The Big Bang Theory.
Design inspiration: you have a penchant for the intricacies of natural sciences or you feel like having a dig at your fellow tech geek in a canny way? Go on! Yoda quotes and allusions to other sci-fi films also tend to do well.
In 1st – Funny
Laughing releases the good stuff – positive vibes galore. And since most of us can’t get enough of the good stuff, you’d be well advised to turn any real funny idea into something people would love on a T-shirt.
Design inspiration: Fun knows no limits. Quirky quotes, digs at all-to-human human flaws displayed by well-crafted designs, subtle sexual allusions and playful double entendres will find obliging admirers, just like individual words displayed in an artistic way.
