We were really amazed at how many of you have taken part in our annual survey – thank you! It was our aim to look back at 2011, and we were particularly interested in your opinions and constructive criticism.

*The curtain rises * — and here are the results:
It was already revealed at the end of our survey: our worst selling product is the big dog bandana. Most of you got that right as well – so what’s wrong with smartly dressed dogs then? Okay, consider your message delivered. When it comes to dressing people, we do much better though. In 2011 we were able to flog some 2 million products – an absolutely amazing record! And of course, it had to be: our best-selling design is the “I love“ emblem. There seems to be a lot of love in this world, so it’s good to see you spread it! And yes, there were tears as well. Most of you answered the question as to what moved you to tears in 2011 with tears that were shed in anger. Anger provoked by facing the electricity bill! But there was a little surprise as well. There were many and diverse reasons for things that made you cry which were expressed in the open text box. People cited tears of joy at new-borns and weddings, tears of sorrow aggrieved by bereavement and lovesickness as well as tears shed for reasons as diverse as failed exams, soppy TV programs and homesickness. Thank you for your moving frankness that made for a very honest and refreshing read. We really appreciated that!
Now then, what do you think was the biggest waste of money in 2011?
This issue has seen opinions divide. Most of you think that the pope’s visit was quite an unnecessary waste of cash, closely followed by Michael Jackson’s statue at Fulham FC’s ground Craven Cottage. Reliable sources have it that Mohamed Al-Fayed will not yield to the temptation of moving it to Neverland, though, so that travelling away fans will not be deprived of their banter. It’s also interesting to note that there are cultural differences across Europe. In Germany and France it comes as little surprise that most people there do not think that money should be wasted at all. In the rest of Europe’s mainland as well as in Britain, people tend to be a little bit less pennywise and more wasteful. And Americans are not particularly keen on purchasing warranties with their goods; most people across the pond think that this poses the biggest waster. They also busied themselves with the text box where they mentioned Greece’s bail-out, purchasing 3D glasses, not working over Christmas or paying for lunch at work.
It was nice to see consent across the nations in some respects. Most people on both sides of the pond didn’t think much of smug New Year’s resolutions, but agreed that now is the time to do more sports and buy some Spreadshirt products. Bring it on!
Hype 2011
Military chapka hats did seemingly not go down in history, whereas cup cakes have reached an all-time-classic status. And the revelation of Wikileaks cables caused quite a splash with a lot of you as well. I’d have to agree here – just to remember the diplomatic turmoil they caused all around the globe!
Next to many of you who stated that they themselves were THE hype in person – we never had any doubts there – smartphones, electric cigarettes and Facebook were mentioned rather often. Some people did cast a reminiscent eye back on petrol prices 10 years ago, just like many of you said that they believe that Steve Jobs will not be forgotten. Here, there is agreement everywhere.
Favourites
The King’s Speech came second in the vote for the most popular cinema production, but Harry Potter was the clear winner of our survey. Totally have to agree there! But before we remember that this was also the last ever episode, let’s quickly move on to the next topic: what was our best new product in 2011? *ruffling drum rolls and rataplan* – American Apparel’s zip hoodie went up to climb the top of the rostrum. We are happy to see that you liked it as much as we do. This jacket is a firm favourite with many people at Spreadshirt since it just wears great! Moreover, we will also heed your advice as to what products you’d like to see in our range. More accessories and more colours are now topping our to-do list.
We would like to thank you for your feedback on Spreadshirt’s products and services – it’s great to see that most of you are happy with what and how we do things, and you can be sure that your constructive criticism will fall on sympathetic ears. Performance improvement is one of our greatest concerns.
How old are we? On average, that is…
That’s the question here. We’ve aged a little, but we obviously don’t look it! You thought that the average Spreadshirt employee is just 28 years old, but in fact we have matured into an average age of 33.58 years…
And the winners are:
Asli from Germany wins a steam iron station
Carlie-Anne from the UK is getting a state-of-the-art clothes-peg bag.
Inflatable clothes hanger and radiator clothes-drying rack search for new winners.
Thank you for taking part and for being frank!

Now we know it all :)) Congrats to the winners XD
