The New Spreadshirt T-Shirt Designer – Faster, Better, Prettier!

Spreadshirt's T-Shirt Designer

The day has come! We will soon switch all Designer Shops to the new T-Shirt Designer version 7 (Confomat 7). Here are the most important changes you should know about:

  • Product creation for your shops and the Marketplace will soon be performed in the new Designer (Confomat 7).
  • All shops using the older Designer (Version 6) will be migrated to Confomat 7 on July 31st 2012 (estimated date).
  • Product personalisation (text) by customers in standard shops will be based on a newly developed solution (with HTML5).

The schedule will be the following:

Product creation in the user area will migrate to Version 7 in the middle of July. All shops that use the T-Shirt Designer will be switched over to Version 7 at the beginning of August.

What does that mean for you?
Of course, we want to provide an upgrade that is as seamless and smooth as possible. Therefore, we would recommend making the switch from Confomat 6 to 7 yourself. This way you can decide on your own when the new version is available for your customers. To make the switch, simply go to Shops/Settings in the user area, select your Designer Shop from the shop dropdown and choose the width “650 px (T-Shirt Designer Version 7)”.

Tip: designer shops with a width of 980 px generate even better performance (and more sales). When choosing a width of 980 px, you will have to make changes to your website as well. Find more info about this in the forum.

Enjoy the new Designer!

  1. I’m loving V7 – so much easier to get stuff done!

I would still like all products associated with a specific design to automatically inherit it’s description and tags though. Also, being able to add a design/product line to a Category ahead of time would be nice too.

  2. Hi
I just started using using spreadshirt when I load an image onto a t-shirt the image looks way too small it doesn’t fill the t-shirt like I want it to the size is only 4inch x5inch can you tell me how to alter the sizes to look better
    Regards
    Debbie

  3. Errr..I’m patient counting till 10 and will wait and see. Till so far it doesn’t work proper…I can’t even find my own designs back and the first glance makes me suspicious about the time you need to use that new designer for all your apparel.
As said I will wait and see, adjust what has to be adjusted. Then react again with feedback in the forum or here.

  4. I regret the fact that customers can’t customize their own text anymore..
I also regret the large space between two lines of text.
