Mum’s the word – prepare for 15 March, it’s your chance to sell. On this occasion, everyone is eager to express their affection for the one person that loves you like no other – mother. It’s a day for any good son or daughter to think of a little surprise to make her day. What better way to show a personal touch than with your designs or products from your shop? Here’s a 3 step guide to make Mother’s Day a success.
#1: Create unique designs
Coming up with a slightly unusual idea for a new Marketplace design can go a long way. Try thinking outside the box, and you’ll be likely to land a winner. When trying to devise design ideas for Mother’s Day, a few inspiring questions could be: why are people proud of their mum? What’s her biggest strength? And is she quite simply beautiful or your best friend? If you think that your idea is good enough to go on a T-shirt, then realise it.
#2: Personalise the right products
Of course T-shirts go well on any occasion, and also on Mother’s Day. To meet the occasion there are a few products that you should seriously consider to feature in your shop. Most mothers tend to have a penchant for shopping bags, aprons and also sports bags. Personalise these with designs and slogans that e.g. express mum’s qualities in the kitchen, sporty talents or listening skills as a best friend.
#3: Raise awareness in time
The big day is fast approaching, so it’s not only important to gear up your shop, but also to tell people to do their shopping in time: with you. Subtle reminders on Facebook & Co that Mother’s Day is an important occasion to be remembered will be appreciated. Share something like “Remember, remember 15 March. It’s Mothering Day, says the western larch.” Or similar prose. Just add a link to your shop, and folks may be tempted to seize the occasion and do their shopping with you.
And don’t forget your mum!
