Everyone running a Spreadshirt shop can now use the full functionality that has so far been reserved to Premium accounts. Have you been able to acquaint yourself with the new advantages for your shop? We’ve put together a little hotlist that neatly summarises all the features and advantages you can now derive from the added functionality. You’re just a few steps away from better sales.
More shops in one account
You can now use your Spreadshirt account to open and manage several Spreadshirt shops. Just go to your user area and click on the “Shops“ button and then “Open a new Shop“. Of course you can also change the look of your newly added shops to taste. Up to 5 of these shops can be run as Designer Shops with immediate effect. But what exactly is a Designer Shop?
The Designer Shop in a nutshell
As opposed to the old ‘normal’ shop, Designer Shops don’t offer premade products. Customers can use the T-Shirt Designer to personalise all of Spreadshirt’s products – from baby bibs to hoodies – as they see fit. This is how they can shop your designs to create personalised clothing with any product they like. What’s good for you is that you’re going to receive a fixed turnover commission of 20% plus the design commission that you’ve set yourself before.
How to set up a Designer Shop
By clicking on “Shops“ in your user account you’ll be able to get to the Shop Overview. Here you can find the option “Open New Designer Shop“ at the bottom right of your screen. The designer shop will be added in the list that you can see in the Shop Overview. Here in the overview you the Designer Shops are marked with a “+“ before the Shop ID.
You can edit and manage a Designer Shop just the way you would any other shop and change e.g. the basic settings or the look of the shop. To do so, choose “See my shop overview“ and then check out the options in the “Appearance“ section in the menu on the left.
…and how to upload designs
Click on the designs in your gallery to add, and add them to your Designer Shop by going to the “General activities“ section to the right of your design and choosing the Designer Shop option.
If you want to upload a new design, please go to the Design Overview and click on “Upload Design“. Confirm that you own the copyrights for this design, and then choose a suitable name and at least three tags for the design. Having done this, a pop-up window will open to let you choose the Designer Shops you want to publish your design in. And of course you can always make changes in your Design Gallery at a later point in time.
Your global shop – in up to 11 languages
Shop partners can now also make use of the extended language option to enter new markets: your products can hit to a worldwide stage in 11 languages. All you need to do is add a language menu to your shop, and this can easily be done by choosing the “Language and Currency“ option in the left menu bar. Choose the languages you want to add, and off you go – your shop is polyglot!
Do you like the new functionality? Have you set up your Designer Shop and gained first-hand experience already? We look forward to your feedback – any questions and suggestions for improvements will be greatly appreciated! Just leave a comment below.

Hi sorteper,
If you access your account, you should be able to find this functionality when going to “shop settings” -> “shop overview”. You can even select if you wanna “Open a new Shop” or “Open a new Designer Shop”. If this is not the case, please contact our service team with your user-ID (partner@spreadshirt.net).
My best,

Very good move of you guys @ Spreadshirt!
Can I run a premium shop alongside my existing shop?
It took me ages to set up my existing shop and dont wish to use a premium shop if I have to re-do all the admin.
Hi Andrew,
You can run both of them parallely but it is not possible to integrate the Designer shop. You need to set it up once more. However, there is no need to import singular products here because the customer can take care of the creation process themselves.
