Last winter has seen pastel colours on the rise already, and there is more to come in spring! When blooming flowers show us how to paint the world in subtly beautiful colours, the catwalks and streets of every town will have at least 50 shades of pastel on display as well. There’s an orchid garden of inspiration on this weeks’ blog for you to be discovered.
Why pastel?
Having lived through those seemingly endless months of winter, we all need a bit of a colour splash to make things lighter and brighter again. It’s not quite the time to go all colibri-colour gung-ho, though. When you see the little crocuses bravely sprouting through crude winter soil, it’s those soft and sober yellow colours that endear themselves to our dazzled eyes. And since it’s quite pleasant to be in tune with nature, you’d be well advised not to shock your environment with cyan or magenta-coloured threads. Let’s save those for the summer, and make way for balmy colours to be in tune with our softly rolling hills now.
What’s more, pastel colours almost inevitably evoke the taste of ice-cream on our barren tongues. And we are compelled to believe that it’s hard to think of something more irresistible than ice-cream!

Fresh on stock
We have just added three fresh and irresistible pastel colours to our American Apparel T-shirt range with dusky pink, dark mint and lime. They add to our softer shades of lemon, grey and other heather nuances. This is great news from American Apparel, the iconic clothing company from LA, California: now there is a whole range of differently coloured T-shirts for you to personalise with designs and text. Enjoy the classic fit and silky smooth fabrics, and get the summer started in style!
And don’t forget indulging in unashamed ice-cream consumption…

No Pantone ‘Color of the year 2015’ Marsala?
Would have suited retro design better.
