With 2015 leaving our freezing shores, we hope that the outgoing year has been fruitful for you both in terms of sales and in experience. Behind the scenes at Spreadshirt, we continuously try to make everything as simple as possible for you. This is why we’re very happy to be able to offer you a new and improved User Account which makes your Shop Partner life easier and ultimately increase your sales. Find out what the main technical inventions and attention winning designs were in this review.

The big news

2015 went off to a flying start. In January, the benefits of the Premium account were made available to all users for free. You can read up on all the Premium Account changes here. Gladly, we received heaps of positive feedback from Partners that confirmed just how important these changes were.

In May, we optimised and simplified our checkout page so your customers can more easily finalise their orders. Eagerly awaited by our Partners, we then proceeded to update the User Area to make it more intuitive to use. Then you can read up on developments in the new product and design section of in this interview with our project manager Petra. And the latest achievement is also the most important one: the new shop system SpreadShop comes along in a more ergonomic look and improved intuitive functionality. Look forward to even more improvements in 2016, things are on the up!

The best designs

Two major design competitions yielded heaps of great designs in 2016. In June, we issued a call out to our designers to share their ideas in the ‘Spread your Message’ design competition with us. The winning design by emerged victorious. Then we appealed to our designers to ‘Spread Music’ with us, and the design by Billianidesigns had the edge over the remaining contributions.

Impressive figures

We did the accounts, and each newsletter subscriber received a total of 35 Spreadshirt emails from us in 2015. Our mail contained valuable info with regard to all of our promotions, new products additions as well as technical improvements and innovations. Over 1,500 improvements and fixes were carried out by the guys from our IT department.  Next to developing Spreadshirt’s new Shop System, they ironed out a number of imperfections in terms of page responsiveness and mobile compatibility. We are also very grateful for all the valuable Partners feedback we received – without your feedback and suggestions we couldn’t have adapted the new SpreadShop to your needs.

And there’s this one impressive item that stands out by a mile. 1,990,000 – the number of new designs submitted to the European platform have enriched Spreadshirt’s shopping experience fundamentally. The visitors to our site – a total of 33 million in the past 365 days – are pretty impressive evidence of the improved quality of Spreadshirt’s well of designs.

What were your highlights 2015 as a Spreadshirt Partner? And what should we improve in 2016? We’d love to make informative blog articles available for you to help you create new designs or to boost your sales – so please let us know!
