New Month – New Products

Last month we added bunch of new apparel for Digital Direct printing, but now is time to present our brand new products. They are new accessories and were at the top of the list of requests.

First, I’ll introduce the backpack for older kids and adults. This favourite comes in 4 nice colors: black, navy, red and olive and has enough space (11″x18″x6″) for small binders, a book or a spare t-shirt. The light and handy rucksack is made for everyday use and has a very nice detail: a headphone slot on its side so you can stash your mobile or mp3-player safely and still listen to music. The print area is limited to the front pocket which is a bit a shame. But, because of the sensitive material (100% polyester) 3 colored designs would hardly affect the product quality.

We are going to launch another backpack in September which is much smaller and perfect for smaller kids heading to kindergarten or off on a day trip.

Another very nice and new product is the Kids’ Baseball Cap by Myrtle Beach. Timing couldn’t be better to have an item like this ready for your back to school season. It comes in 4 bright colors: yellow, red, blue and black. The big cap’s brim has already been shaped and shields the sun from kids’ eyes – perfect for children under seven years of age. A velcro fastener on its back can be adjusted for comfort and an ideal fit. A sweatband inside and eight ornamental seams on the contrast-coloured brim make this cap both convenient and stylish. So I know your kids’ will love wearing it on any and all occasions.

And now it’s your turn, let me know how you feel about the new items and have fun with creating your own accessory!

Spreadshirt Shop Partner Interview with Daisychain

We had a little chat with our shop partner Daisychain – who likes playing around with the meaning of words and sees his customers as people who can read between the lines.

What inspired you to open your shop, and for how long have you been running it?

Some of my mates encouraged me to open my own shop. I wear the t-shirts that I design myself, and when quite a few people asked me where I’d bought the t-shirt I was wearing I decided to use Spreadshirt’s platform to sell my designs. When I started in early 2011, it was only my friends who ordered, and now I sell a lot of designs through Spreadshirt’s platform.

#Hackgate Seen the news, got the t-shirt?

Two topics are coloring the news headlines in the last few days worldwide: the Euro-crisis and the the phone-hacking scandal in the UK. Those stories developed daily, almost hourly. Therefore we thought it’s time to have a look on our marketplace and on partner shops how t-shirts are used as a medium to share thoughts, ideas and opinions.
One partner, theCommentator started designing #hackgate t-shirts whilst the Select Committees were still in session on Tuesday. Starting with “You’ll have to ask Mr. Yates about that one”, by the end of the afternoon two more had appeared: “I have no knowledge of that (James Murdoch)” and “Don’t F**K with the Deng”. The question will be, can the designs keep up with the rapid pace of events? Read more

Shop Partner Interview with iluvumore

What inspired you to open your iluvumore shop, and for how long have you been running it?

All my life I’ve been a creative person. In the beginning I painted on canvas, and later I started designing all kinds of things (i.e. lamps). Recently I got into creating designs on the computer. A few people told me ‘Why do you not design t-shirts?’, so 8 months ago I realized my first idea.

But I wasn’t too happy with the products at hand and limitations as far as logistics and selection of designs were concerned. This is how I got to Spreadshirt. I’ve been running the iluvumore shop for 5 months now, so I’m not exactly what you’d call an old hand. Still, my impression is that Spreadshirt provides a relaxed and hassle-free platform. I get my inspiration from impressions I collect in every-day situations and have no problem turning them into nice street-art products here. I also love what the designer Bansky does, and I think that is reflected in my work as well.

How did you find out about Spreadshirt?

I first heard about Spreadshirt through my web-space host.
