The duffel bag has plenty of room for everything without the need to stuff everything in or pack it in all tidily. The colours are really cool and the shape is great too, so it doesn’t have that boring old “gym bag” feeling at all – with the right print it looks pretty darn sweet! Timbuk2 Messenger Bag – Tough-As-Hell Multi-Functional Carryall

That may be a mouthful of a title, but let me explain. The Timbuk2 Classic Messenger is the best bag I have ever owned. Hands down. Where do I begin?

And then I bought the Timbuk2 Messenger to become the bag to end all bags – a mix of professional and recreational to serve me a lifetime. What’s so amazing about this bag?
It’s Durable and Sturdy
They call it ballistic fabric. I agree. After a spill on my bike, my skin didn’t fare too well, but my bag survived the fall without a scratch with my laptop perfectly protected within. Rain is no contest, not a drop of water has made it into the bag. The fabric also gives the bag a sturdiness that keeps its form, yet is flexible at the same time.
It’s Multi-functional and Roomy
You can carry just about anything. Okay, maybe not your bowling ball set, but almost! I primarily use the bag for trips to and from work. Current contents include: 13in laptop, digital camera, mobile, iPod, USB stick, pens, and a book. But, that doesn’t even come close to filling it up. I usually pick up groceries on the way home from work and still have room for food and beverages. I also use it for weekend trips – with plenty of room for a change of clothes, toiletries and bring-alongs!

It has Oodles of Features
Features galore, I tell you! My favourite is the Napoleon pouch, a zip side pouch under the main flap that you can access from the side. Great for wallet, keys, mobile etc. Then there’s the True Fit cam buckle that makes putting on and taking off a cinch. You can get that bag nice and snug up to your back and then easily remove it by unbuckling the True Fit cam that extends the entire strap. And finally, pockets for all kinds of nick-nacks you gather or carry around.

Franzi showing her BackpackI must admit that over the past few weeks I was starting to become a little obsessive, twitching the net curtains and lurking about in our warehouse, because I just couldn’t wait until it arrived: our new rucksack. About a month ago it was finally time! I just had to choose the colour and design, and then I finally had it in my hands: A thing of beauty, my first personalised rucksack! Between me, you and the gatepost, I’d been dreaming of this moment for years. Back at school it was always the same: You’d search and search like mad and find what you thought was the coolest rucksack on the planet, only to turn up at the playground and find some other kid with exactly the same one.
But my rucksack is more than just beautiful, it’s so useful! I cycle to work every day and I reckon a shoulder bag would be ever so slightly impractical for me. I admit you can’t fit everything but the kitchen sink, but that really doesn’t matter because there’s still plenty of room for everything I need on a day-to-day basis. All those important little bits and bobs, like my mobile, wallet and keys fit in the front compartment, which is obviously really handy and prevents irritating fumbling around! What’s more, there’s even a little opening to thread your earphone cable through, so I’m always listening to my favourite tunes. It’s the little things that count!
